Try the Latest Rifles and Shotguns at Slamannan
Glasgow Field Sports and Edinburgh Field Sports are delighted to announce their Rifle and Shotgun Demo Day 2026, taking place on Saturday 18th July at the National Shooting Centre, Slamannan, FK1 2AL, from 9am to 5pm.This special demo day will give customers the chance to try a fantastic selection of centrefire rifles, rimfire rifles and shotguns, with leading brands including Browning, Sako, Winchester, Tikka, Miroku, Beretta, Steiner and more expected to feature on the day.
Demo Rifles
If you would like to try the demo centrefire and rimfire rifles, you will need to purchase a £20 Rifle Demo Ticket in advance. This ticket secures your timed slot on the Demo Rifle Firing Line and includes your rifle ammunition allocation, plus 25 shots on the demo shotguns.
Your Rifle Demo Ticket also includes one-to-one expert advice, tea, coffee and refreshments, entry into the Demo Day raffle, and your ticket price converted to store credit on the day for attendees. Even better, your store credit will be doubled if you go on to purchase a new rifle or shotgun before the end of 2026.
You can also request specific rifle models or calibres when booking, subject to availability.
Please note: a valid Firearms Certificate is required to use demo rifles. One ticket is available per customer only. If you purchase your ticket online, we will contact you to confirm your time slot and take your FAC details.

Demo Shotguns
Demo shotguns do not require advance booking. Simply turn up on the day and pay to play.
Shotgun demo prices are £5 for 10 shots or £10 for 25 shots, with cartridges, clays and raffle entry included.
If there is a particular shotgun model or gauge you would like to try, please let us know and we will do our best to have one available on the day.
Free Junior Have-a-Go Sessions
There will also be free junior have-a-go sessions with airguns and shotguns, with no booking required.
Junior visitors can try junior-sized airguns, including springers and PCPs, as well as junior-sized shotguns in .410, 28g and 20g.
These sessions are available for over 10s only, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Important Information
Customers using demo guns must hold the appropriate Firearms Certificate or Shotgun Certificate and must show it on the day.
