"What's In Your Box" - Get Featured In Trout & Salmon Magazine with our Spring Open Weekend Special Guests

The team from Trout & Salmon are attending our Spring Open Weekend and offering you the opportunity to appear on the pages of Europe's biggest-selling game-fishing magazine. 

They will be looking for someone to show off their favourites in the "What's in Your Box" article, so you need to think of and prepare your three best flies and bring them to the show along with your full flybox.

Rob and Andrew will be gathering entrants, learning about your flies and choosing the most interesting set of flies to feature in Trout & Salmon magazine.

The featured flies will be retained for professional studio photography that will appear alongside a  picture of you whole flybox and a head shot of the winner at the show. The Trout & Salmon team will also write the story behind each fly, complete with the dressing for their readership to try themselves.

Andrew Flitcroft and Rob Hardy will instore on Friday 7th & Saturday 8th of March where you'll be able to chat with them and grab yourself a FREE copy of the magazine.
Both Rob and Andrew are lifelong anglers and regular contributors to the magazine covering all aspects of game fishing at home and abroad from tiny Trout in small streams to GTs on sun-soaked tropical flats.

Andrew will be tying flies at the Trout & Salmon stand where he'll be available to answer your questions on fly-fishing at home and abroad.

Andrew  is an all-round angler and a former England loch-style international Trout angler with a wealth of angling knowledge particularly on the "King of Fish" Atlantic Salmon.
He's fished for Salmon in the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Russia and British Columbia if you're interested in that side of the sport at all then he's the man to speak to. You'll find links to his articles and adventures over at https://troutandsalmon.com/

 

ROB HARDY

Rob Hardy is Trout & Salmon's Tackle Editor 

If you need an expert opinion on fishing tackle, then you'll struggle to find a more expert opinion than Trout & Salmon's Tackle Editor. As well as his on page reviews Rob has hosts a series over on the Trout & Salmon Youtube channel.

Over the weekend Rob will be doing interviews with the representatives of the various brands who are attending, drilling down on the latest releases for the 2025 season as well as chatting to members of the public to get their thoughts on what they're looking for from their fishing gear.
