There are many ways of setting up your Deadbait when fishing for Pike. One of the more popular methods is using pop-ups. This technique is quite straight forward but a lot of anglers can't quite get the rigging right. By popping your bait up, it allows the bait to float off the bottom floor or out of weed beds.
This allows it to sit directly in-line with a Pike, cruisng around for a quick snack. Matt Rand from Fox Rage shows us that this also allows the deadbait to freely move. Pike flaring their gills or creating any small disturbance in the water, will cause the deadbait to flutter and entice a bite!
Matt goes through all the bits & bobs that you'll need to get started with the Fox Rage Pop ups. Breaking the rig down to its core components and showing you how it's done!
