Today we are checking out the Oil Spill Perdigon tied by Steve Cullen. The original Perdigon nymph pattern's were invented by the Asturian (a region in the North of Spain) fisherman and fly tier José Carlos RodrÃguez. Heavily weighted and tied on a jig hook these are a simple effective pattern designed to excel in fast-moving waters. It's a versatile fly, especially if you adapt the overall weight of the fly. Having a variety of these in your fly box, in different sizes and weights will allow any angler to reach any and all strike zones.
