How to tie the Mr Blobby Fly with Steve Cullen

Today we are taking a look at the fly that potentially started the Blob craze, the Mr Blobby Fly, tied by Steve Cullen. The Mr Blobby fly was originally created by a Scottish Fly Tyer named Jimmy McBride and funnily enough, Jimmy also owned the Craftye Shop which sold the original Wing material for this fly. It uses very few materials, with most of the material being built around the Wing. A simple fly to put together for some cracking results! Get a few of these tied, ready for your next outing!

Materials Used:

Hook: Kamasan B160 Trout Medium Short Shank, Size 12
Thread: Uni 8/0 Thread, Fire Orange & Veniard Glo-Brite, Pink (2)

Tail: Crystal Flash

Body: Spirit River Lite-Brite, Salmon Pink & Purple Haze

Varnish/Glue: Gulff UV Resin Thinman 15ml Clear
