How to tie the Mojito Fozzy Dog with Steve Cullen

Today we are taking a look at a variant of a notoriously popular pattern, the Dog Nobbler. The Mojito Fozzy Dog as Steve calls it, is similar to that of a Dog Nobbler, but this pattern has a secret weapon tied into it!

The secret weapon used for this pattern, is Eggstasy. If you don't know what Eggstasy is, then you might want to check it out here. It's a revolutionary material for tying flies, specifically egg flies, but it finds its use across various patterns. It's an easily tied in material, similar to that of Chenille, but the cool thing about this material is that it locks in water and almost appears in a "slush" like texture.

With a long bright tail, a slushy body and a set of chain-bead eyes to generate some interesting action, it's no wonder that this fly and the original it's based off of, are so popular. Get a few of these tied up and get out on your local water.

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help.
