Tying the Pink Panther with Steve Cullen

Today we are taking a look at a cool little lure, The Pink Panther, tied by Steve Cullen. The Pink Panther is a year round fly, but it excels when it's fished towards the end of the season in the colder months, especially when the water is coloured. Taking pointers from Steve, the best way to fish this pattern is to get it out on open water when fishing reservoirs or if you're on smaller lakes, to fish it with a bigger, black lure on the point position.

Materials Used:

Hook: Kamasan B175 Trout Heavy Traditional, Size 10

Thread: Uni Thread, Fluoro Orange

Tail: Datam, Glo-Brite, Pink
Ribbing: Uni Pearl Mylar

Wing: Veniard Hint of Colour Large Selected Marabou, Pink

Dubbing: Chuck N Duck Electric Seal Dubbing, Original Calvin Mix
