How to tie The Wee Back End Booby

Today we are checking out the Wee Back End Booby pattern, tied by Steve Cullen! This pattern is one that Steve fishes on the "washing line", which is a technique whereby a series of flies hang off your leader, suspended at both ends. The Wee Back End Booby is ideal as the point fly on the washing line, perfect for the back end of the season paired with hare's ears or buzzers. This pattern is much smaller than an international rule size Booby, but its very effective and Steve is proof of this claim since he's been using this pattern for around 12 years!

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help.
