How to tie the Pink N Purple Nymph with Steve Cullen - Grayling Special

Today we are taking a look at the Pink'n'Purple Nymph tied by Steve Cullen! This pattern takes  inspiration from the Purple Nasty, which is essentially a variation on the Pheasant Tail Nymph. What makes it special is when it comes to Grayling fishing for the Winter months, it's a lethal weapon! Steve's variant on the Purple Nasty removes that red hot spot as a collar and replaces it with a large portion of purple flashy dubbing. Get a few of these ready for your Winter excursions for Grayling!

Materials Used:

Hook: Partridge SUJ Patriot Ideal Jig, size 14

Bead: Crystal River Hot Head Bead, 3mm

Thread: Uni Thread, Black

Tail: Whiting Coq de Leon Light Pardo
Ribbing: Datam Glo-Brite, Purple

Dubbing: Veniard Peacock Dub

Collar: Davy Wotton SLF Standard Dubbing, Violet
