Paul and Hywel are always welcome additions to our Open Weekend Events, two people who've fished all over the world and love nothing more than sharing their knowledge and swapping stories with the other anglers who visit us over the weekend. Paul's been told by several fishermen instore that his Hooked series inspired them to take up angling.
Hywel is a world champion fly caster and a fantastic compere for the Q&A. If you've watched any of his instructional DVDs, the Untamed Anger series you'll know his enthusiasm and knowledge is unmatched. He will be representing Daiwa over the weekend showing off some of the products he's helped develop. With decades of experience under his belt, Hywel's presence is always be a treat for all attendees.
We spoke to him about the relaunch “Ed Burgass of FishingTV and Ricky Walker (the producer, director, cameraman editor and genius behind the Hooked on Fishing Series) have located all of the episodes of the show and Ed is digitally remastering them all and putting them up online through FishingTV.com, I believe the first two seasons are available already with more being added. It will be the first time they’re all available in one place.”
The entire Hooked series is now up on there from canals in Scotland to uninhabited islands in the pacific as Paul said “... as the show expanded to take in other countries we were often the first to show some of these species and places. I still speak to people who have taken far flung trips after seeing our programs.”
