Learn how to tie the Baby Pink Nomad by Steve Cullen

This is Steve Cullen's variant of the Nomad pattern tied. Originally tied by Rob Spiller the Nomad is an excellent all round lure for Trout in stillwaters all over the country. Steve recommends fishing this pattern on any loch that's got a head of coarse fish, the combination of colours and flash on this variant makes it very effective when the fish are feeding on fry.

Ideally fish this as a single fly on a floating or intermediate line. The Nomad style has the bead tied just in front of the hook point, slightly further back than a normal lure with a tapered head that gives it quite a level plain on retreive so use a figure of 8 or series of long slow pulls to add a bit of life and be ready for takes on the drop.

Have a few of these ready for when Trout have switched to fry feeding on reservoirs or stillwaters.

"A small lure with a big reputation: and all thanks to unsung fly tying hero, Rob Spiller"... Charles Jardine FFFT 2001
