The Tronix/HTO Mini Weekend 2023 at Edinburgh Angling Centre

The last week of May saw Edinburgh Angling Centre hosting the team from TronixPro & HTO, we'd like to thank everyone who came along and made it a fantastic event. The store was buzzing with anglers checking out the latest gear from a couple of the most innovative brands in the country.

Our special guests, George Cunningham, Jake Schogler and Billy Buckley from HTO and Wayne Hand from The Shore Hunter! It was a great couple of days where customers got to speak to industry professionals for tips on rig tying, lure choice, LRF technique, instore Lure Tank demos and even casting lessons out on the breakwater!

The shop always looks good but the team from Tronxpro & HTO took over the lure aisle, showing off their fantastic range of Rods, Reels, Braid, Lures and terminal tackle. The Lure Tank was in place letting anglers study the action up close while Billy was busy on his Rig tying station helping people get a bit of insider knowledge from an international competition angler. 

Wayne, who runs The Shore Hunter youtube channel took the opportunity to do some fishing on the East coast with Jake while he was up testing out some LRF gear with a bit of expert guidance. Wayne who is a more traditional coast angler, more used to sending leads and baits way out scaled down his approach for some fishing off the rocks and walls at a beautiful harbour landing a few fish and a cracking Codling!

We caught up with Jake after the dust settled, "Doing an open weekend in my home town is always fun and a bit of a luxury. I get to show my friends and colleagues from down south my wonderful city and a bit of my wonderful country!

Over the course of the 2 days we got to speak to some really keen and knowledgeable anglers and the staff as always were top-notch. There's such a great depth of knowledge of fishing so it was fascinating swapping ideas and techniques. Overall it was a great couple of days talking and teaching fishing with really keen folk all in a shop with everything you need.
