How to tie The Hot Spot Olive by Steve Cullen

Today we are having a look at the Hot Spot Olive, tied by Steve Cullen. As Steve explains in his video, this pattern is normally used as an early season fly, but due to its size, Grayling will certainly take it in the Winter months! It's fairly simple to create and based off a Plume Tip pattern, you can create numerous of these in very little time. Something straight forward and effective, get a couple of these tied, ready for your Grayling session this Winter!

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help. Time to tie The Hot Spot Olive, with the guidance of Steve Cullen.
