Today we are checking out the Daddy Hog, tied by Steve Cullen. The Daddy Hog is a clash between a Daddy Long Legs and a Sedgehog. This fly features long, dangly legs, similar to that of the Daddy Long Legs, but also features a Sedgehog like head. There's a lot of light, floating material on this pattern, making it the perfect fly for when Trout are rising in the Morning and Evening. It also allows you to strip this fly along the top to entice Trout to chase and strike!
All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help. Time to tie the Daddy Hog, with the guidance of Steve Cullen.
