Today we are checking out the UV Fiery Brown CDC Fly, tied by Steve Cullen. Steve describes this fly as a great late Summer Pattern and further explains that it works especially well in weedbeds during this period. Although there is very little material in making this fly, sometimes less is more! Steve explains that this pattern is quite successful and can be used on still waters, rivers and lochs! This fly is also very versatile in that the dubbing colour can be changed to give you a range of different coloured patterns.
All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help. Time to tie the UV Fiery Brown CDC, with the guidance of Steve Cullen.
