Save The Date - The GAC Open Weekend Is Back!





After a hiatus last year we are very pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Spring Open Weekend from the 4th-6th March 2022 and we'd love to see you there!

We offer free tuition, demonstrations and workshops so you are equipped with all the latest knowledge for your next fishing trip. There are casting lessons available from SGAIC instructors, demos from AAPGAI Master casters, rig tuning clinics from sea anglers with international honours, LRF hints and tips from some of the best species hunters in the country, lure and deadbait tricks from the best predator anglers around and Fly Tyers Row is as talented a group of tyers you'll ever meet.

During these events our 30,000ft megastore throws open its doors and visitors flood in to check out the latest kit, pick up some great bargains and rub shoulders with the top names in the fishing tackle business like Hywel Morgan, Paul Young, Scott Mackenzie and many more of the famous faces in fishing.

All the reps and guests are fishing fanatics, we'd encourage you all to engage with these experts ask questions to get as much as possible out of your day. So whether you want to improve your fly casting, sea rig tying, lure fishing for Pike, LRF, or fly tying, there's an activity running over the 3 days giving you the maximum opportunity to learn - and it's all free!!

There's been lots of new tackle released over the last few years and we've got some of the best in the trade on hand to show you the latest innovations as well as taking the chance to just talk fishing at one of the highlights of the angling calendar. 

The Glasgow Angling Centre Spring Open Weekend in March is synonymous with the start of the new season and is still the biggest free fishing event in the UK. 
If you have never visited one of our events, you really should put 4th-6th March in your diary.
