Tying the Red Legged Bibio with Davie McPhail

The Bibio is a classic bushy wet fly, very effective when fished as part of a team of flies for traditional loch style fishing. It represents many terrestrial insects, especially Hawthorn and Heatherfly. The Bibio wet fly will catch both Brown and Rainbow Trout. You can tie these flies in various colours and on larger or smaller hooks. Get a few of these tied for the new Season!

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help. Time to tie a Red Legged Bibio, with the guidance of Davie McPhail.
