Tying the Junction Shrimp Tube Fly with Davie McPhail

Today we are looking at the Junction Shrimp Tube Fly! An excellent Salmon Fly made famous on the River Tweed and has become a very popular fly on Salmon Rivers across the world. These tube flies are perfect for well known Scottish Salmon Rivers and are ideal for using during the Spring. Pair this tube fly with your favourite Double Hook to create a Salmon Catching weapon!

Materials Used:

Tube: T-Tube 25mm
Thread: Uni-Fire Orange Tail: Orange Bucktail Rib: Flat or Oval Silver Tinsel (Medium to Large) Body: Black Floss Wing: Orange Mirror Flash and White Bucktail Eyes: Jungle Cock ( Optional) Head: Either the Fire Orange Thread used or Glo-Brite No. 4 Flu-Red

Additional materials: Additionally, Davie made use of Varnish, which he applied to the head after completing the fly.
