How to Tie the Furled Buzzer by Steve Cullen

It’s unusual to see a huge variation in buzzer patterns, this Furled Buzzer is Steve’s take on a Spectral Worm and it definitely stands out from the crowd. Unlike normal Buzzer patterns that have a tapered profile, this fly has a bulbous head and straight body that better imitates a natural Chronomid. The Spanflex furled body has an even segmented look that’s really easy to achieve, mix up different sizes, vary the colour of threads or thorax and you’ve got a simple durable pattern that’s effective all year round.

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help. Time to tie a Furled Buzzer, with the guidance of Steve Cullen.
