Bringing the kids along to The GAC Spring Open Weekend 2019? If so, we will be running free activities for children throughout the event including the return of our fabulous 'Design a Fly' competition! The objective is to create a colourful, and unique, fly design using pre-printed colouring-in sheets. Top fly supplier Fario Fly Co. will put the winning design into production to be sold to raise money for angling charity Get Hooked on Fishing!
Taking part is simple. We have set up an area instore where kids can sit and colour in the pre-printed sheets. Alternatively, you can print off the four templates at home, have your child colour them in and bring them with you to our open weekend event. Our winner from the last competition has already had their fly created by Fulling Mill and these are on sale instore with proceeds going to angling charity Get Hooked on Fishing! well done Cara!
Once your child has completed the task, give the fly design an original name and submit it to one of our members of staff. If you have printed the sheets off and coloured them in at home, bring them with you to the Open Weekend, and again, submit to a member of staff. All the designs will be displayed in the store during March. At the end of the month, we will choose a winning design, and the winner will receive a £50 Gift Voucher which can be spent in-store or online at Fishingmegastore.
Fario Fly will take the winning design and professionally produce an actual fly which will be sold in aid of the children fishing charity Get Hooked On Fishing. Be sure to include the name, address, and phone number of a parent or guardian on the reverse of your design so we can contact the winner.
