Davie ties his version of the Red Neck Midge, an early season essential which performs well on the lochs and lakes of the UK. With just the right amount of red highlight this fly excels at the beginning of the year.

Hook: Fulling Mill 31530 Competition Heavyweight
Threads: UTC 70 - Black
Rib: Uni Flexx: White
Body: UTC 70 - Black and Wapsi HoloG Tinsel
Wingbuds: Uni Flexx: Orange
Thorax: UTC 70 - Black
Davie also used a red acrylic artist paint for some extra flare, however if you do not have any paint on-hand you can substitute in Red Cellire Varnish or Loon Outdoors Hard Head
