This week, Davie McPhail ties a variant of Craig's Night Time, a lure that originated in the North Island of New Zealand in 1930. The fly is an imitation of a crayfish, that is used to attract fish at night.
An all-time favourite throughout it's place of origin and the nearby Australia, the pattern is extremely potent when used for searching for trout at night.
Similar patterns include an Alexandra, also available in Alexandra Orange JC for day-fishing.
