A classic wet fly, the Black Pennell series was developed for use catching trout and sea trout by the Victorian author Cholmondeley Pennell. With success catching Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Sea Trout, this fly is particularly potent during a rise of chironomid midges (buzzers) and terrestrials.
