The amazing new Zephrus and Wraith fly rods from Hardy have landed in stock at GAC! If you have Pre-Ordered one then it will be with you very soon - if not then there is still time to be one of the first in the UK to own one of these game changing rods, if you are quick! If you liked the Zenith at all you will love the Zephrus - it was hard to believe you could improve on the Zenith but as soon as you pick up the Zephrus it feels light years ahead! Lighter and crisper actioned, with cosmetics close to its predecessor but just different enough If you don't believe us, come and try one on our casting pool!
Built using the same SINTRIX 440 material as the Zenith, Hardy are billing the Zephrus range as the evolution of carbon fibre rod technology, 60% stronger than traditional carbon fly rods and up to 30% lighter. Whether it's six feet or sixty six, when your target is to hit a moving shadow dead centre between the eyes with a weightless piece of fluff, accuracy starts to take on a whole new meaning. Zephrus, with SINTRIX® 440 technology, combines the featherweight touch and line feel required to fool a midge feeder under the rod tip, with the power to hit a slab rainbow at full range. Thanks to advanced design, industry leading materials and, above all, a passion for creating the finest high performance fly fishing tools available, all you need do is fire and don't forget to strike. FIRE AND FORGET FOR THE FLY ANGLER!
The Wraith from Hardy is built from the ground up as a true casting MACHINE. Built around an unbeleivable SINTRIX550™ blank, the Wraith is fast, crisp and powerful, punching out laser precise loops with every cast, even at serious distance.
The Wraith is built to the extremely high specifications one demands of a Hardy rod, and boasts top drawer features like super high grade cork handles, crush proof guides and a double-up-locking reel seat. Available in a range of lengths and AFTM ratings. The 9ft #5 and #6 are built as Fresh Water Series rods featuring handsome wooden reel seat inserts, while all other models are All Water Series, boasting a carbon reel seat insert to stand up to saltwater better.
Cosmetically, the Wraith is simply striking with its muted, matte black blank with a clear coat finish across the badge that really shows off the carbon weave underneath. The rod is finished off nicely with precise, highly visible alignment dots.
Both rods are available to buy from GAC now, and there no better time to come and see one instore than at our upcoming Open Weekend Event on the 25th, 26th and 27th of September 2015, where you can try any model you like under the supervision of an expert casting instructor!
