One of the most often asked questions in the GAC is what flyline will work best with a particular rod, and our staff will alway do there best to use their combined knowledge and experience to make sure the customer end up with a combination that work! Now thanks to the team at Rio flylines, you can choose the right fly line for your rod and fishing location, right on your phone or tablet! Available for iPhone, iPad and Android, this free app starts by asking which type of rod you will use - if you can't find your particular model in the extensive database you can always choose something similar, or ask us instore for some suggestions. The app leads you through the rod make and model to water type, environmental conditions, geography, species, line density, and the specific fly fishing application desired. Once each step is completed, the app offers line choices where users can dive deeper into the specifics of each line, or visit RIO’s website to find out even more info, whether its a Trout line, a Spey line, shooting head or even just a Versa-Tip!
