See Daiwa at the GAC Open Weekend!

Top Scottish tackle manufacturer Daiwa have confirmed their attendance for the Glasgow Angling Centre's next Open Weekend Event on the 27th, 28th and 29th of September 2013! Once again Daiwa will be using the popular event to launch a new range of fly rods and the new Lexa range will be on display for to try and pre order for the first time anywhere! Made right here in Scotland, the new Daiwa Lexa fly rods follow hot on the heels of the Newera SLR that were launched at our spring event and priced from just £215 are sure to be a big hit! You could even get the chance to try one out on our casting pool with world class casting guru, TV presenter and Daiwa fly fishing consultant, Hywel Morgan - and perhaps pick up some tips to try in our Distance Casting Competition! Hywel will also have signed copies of  his full range of informative and entertaining DVD's available instore.

The Bias Carbon technology used in the Newera SLR rods can also be found in some of the latest beach and boats rods from Daiwa, and top sea angling specialist Stevie Souter will be on hand to explain the benefits of these new developments as well as giving help and advice on all aspects of modern sea angling- from choosing the right tackle to rig making and bait preparation!

He will also be showing off a new range of LRF gear from Daiwa for the first time in the UK as they venture into this fast growing area of the sport with the Gekkabijin range of rods and reels and Steve will be giving some great tips on LRF techniques that can be put to use around our own coasts.
