Mikael Frodin Confirms for GAC September Event!

We are pleased to announce that Salmon fishing and fly tying expert, Mikael Frodin has confirmed he will be representing Guideline at the forthcoming Glasgow Angling Centre Open Weekend Event on the 27th, 28th and 29th of September 2013!
Mikael Frodin is coming to GAC!
Mikael Frödin was born in September 1961 and currently lives beside Lake Valloxen, in Knivsta, Sweden. He shares his life with his two sons who have both been on fishing trips since young age and have already experienced the thrill of landing their first Atlantic Salmon! Mikael started tying his own flies at the age of thirteen and soon his creations started catching him sought after Sea Trout and Salmon. Since the age of 18 he has lived as a professional fly tier and salmon fisher and during the 80’s and 90’s he worked as a guide on some of Scandinavia’s best Salmon rivers. This gave him not only interesting contacts, but also irreplaceable experience.
He started his career as an innovative fly tyer early on and many standard techniques and innovations in tying and fishing Salmon flies are descended from ideas born on his fly tying vice. Mikael wrote his first article in the fishing press in the early 80’s and he is today an acknowledged writer in leading sport fishing magazines all over the world. He has contributed to many Salmon and fly tying books too, the best known being his own “Classic Salmon Flies” that sold over 50.000 copies in 5 different languages.
Frodin style flies have dominated Salmon fishing recently!
Since the beginning of the 80’s he has been an active participant in the development of Salmon flies and fishing tackle and is today one of the most important names behind the popular “Scandinavian Style” of Salmon fishing. Among his most popular and pioneering products is the Partridge SALAR series of hooks, SSS fly tying materials, Guideline fly boxes and the best selling Guideline F.I.T.S tube system, that has revolutionized tube fly tying all over the world.
See Mikael tie up some of his creations in person!
So if you are a Salmon angler visiting the Glasgow Angling Centre's Open Weekend Event this September make sure you seek out Mikael and ask him any questions you might have on Salmon flies, Shooting Heads, the latest LXi and Reaction rods or any queries you might have on Salmon fishing or Guideline products and he will be happy to help you out!
