Tying the Pearly Palmer (Wet Fly) with Davie McPhail

Davie ties the Pearly Palmer (Wet Fly), a superb all-purpose wet fly, ideal for fishing stillwaters. The Pearly Palmer also serves as a fantastic basis for a host of variations in colour, as demonstrated by Davie at the end.
Materials Used:
Hook: Kamasan B170 size 12
Thread: Uni-8/0 Orange
Tail: Cream Indian Cock Fibres
Ribs: Uni Wire Copper and Uni Pearl Mylar Medium
Body: Hare's Ear or Fox Squirrel Natural Fur Dubbing
Body Hackle: Indian Cock Ginger or Brown
Front Hackle: English Partridge Brown Back
Eyes: Jungle Cock
