Tying a Cinnamon & Gold Traditional Wet Fly with Davie McPhail

The Cinnamon and Gold is a great representation of a small Sedge or Dung Fly, the Cinnamon and Gold is a great fly for Trout and Sea Trout on stillwaters and river and can be very effective when fished on the point of a wet fly cast.



Materials Used:

Hook - Kamasan B175 size 12
Thread - Dark Brown Uni Thread 8/0
Tail - Golden Pheasant Tippet
Rib - Small Gold Uni Wire
Body - Gold Mylar Tinsel
Hackle - Natural Red/Brown Hen
Wing - Fiery Brown or Cinnamon Duck Quills
