Another great reason to visit the GAC Open Weekend on the 24th and 25th of September is the fact that it coincides with the Forth and Clyde 10 Event, organised by British Waterways Scotland, which celebrates ten years since the canal was reopened to boat traffic! A flotilla of around 80 boats will be taking part and will pass through Applecross Basin on Saturday morning just before our scheduled fly casting demonstrations start there. See the boats as they pass our part of the canal. Take a look below to see where and when you can join in the celebrations. With colourful boats of all shapes and sizes to see, and music to entertain, you can be a part of the Forth&Clyde10 celebrations.
