Fish of the Month September Entry - Impossible Rainbow!

This small Rainbow was the first of many for David Strawhorn and his friends from a reservoir that his angling club owns. Speaking to people before going up revealed that only one or two were ever taken on a fly and the ones people were catching were coming to the worm or sweetcorn. Many others refused to go up with a fly rod because the trout would not take any artificial. After a few unsuccessful visits he finally tied a size 14 Emerger parachute pattern. First cast and a fish took it. After that the have rarely been up without a fish, all to his parachute fly!
David soon sussed out this Rainbow Trout!
