Fly lines can be expensive pieces of kit and we often get asked how to look after them and even get moans and groans about the lifespan of lines when it turns out they have never been cleaned even once in a seasons worth or more use! A few minutes taking care of a line will increase its performance and mean it will last much longer too!
Always use fly line specific products on your lines, like Rio Agent-X, Airflo Whizz Lube or 3M Line Dressing, as other household or automotive cleaning products can damage the fly lines coating. The Rio Wondercloth and Rio Agent-X are both available from Glasgow Angling Centre.
