Celebrating Scotland’s Sharks!

This two day event showcasing the amazing efforts to conserve Sharks, Skate and Rays in Scotland will be held at the Sea Life Aquarium at Loch Lomond on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th May 2014. This exciting new event will give people the opportunity to explore and appreciate the complex and amazing world of these beautiful animals.
The Sea Life Aquarium at the Loch Lomond Shores shopping site will be transformed for the weekend by SSACN into a place of celebration for all things Shark, Skate and Ray and will comprise of a wide range of exciting, interactive and unforgettable experiences to raise awareness about the wide range of shark species right here in Scotland and the challenges they are facing. From Shark touch tanks, talks from scientists and Shark egg hunts to 30ft Shark inflatables, games and videos to crafts and puzzles for the whole family! There is sure to be something for everyone at this event.
When thinking of marine conservation, the negatives associated with our uses of this unfamiliar environment are all too often the focus; this event will be a celebration and will offer anyone and everyone a chance to join in, contribute and help make a difference.
Standard Sea Life tickets will be required to access the Celebrating Scotland’s Sharks event. Tickets can be purchased on the day but discounts of up to 30% can be achieved by booking online here.
