Tying "The Paul Young Special" by Davie McPhail

Ahead of our Open Weekend on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March we have Davie McPhail tying a variation of a Stoat's Tail, dubbed "The Paul Young Special". Both Davie and Paul will be attending the Open Weekend in March, where you can meet the stars of Fishing at our FREE event! More information here!



Materials Used;

Hook: Partridge Patriot Double
Thread: Uni Thread 8/0 Waxed Black
Tag: Uni French Oval: Silver, Small
Tail: Veniard Golden Pheasant Topping Crest which Davie dyed Sunburst Yellow
Rib: Uni French Oval: Silver, Small
Body: 1/3 Uni Floss: Royal Blue and 2/3 Uni Floss: Black with a Badger hackle between them dyed Kingfisher Blue.
First Hackle: Veniard Peacock Blue Neck
Wing: Black Bear hair and Red and Blue Mirror Flash along with a Varnish like Davie used to secure the bear hair.
Front Hackle: Veniard Chinese Rooster Neck: Black
Eyes: Fishermans Feathers Jungle Cock Capes (be sure to phone for current availability)
Head: Uni Floss: Black and Blue Mirror Flash
