How to tie a "Hairy Midge Pupa" with Davie McPhail

Davie McPhail ties a "Hairy Midge Pupa" this week, imitating a Nymph Chironomidae, an immature form of a non-biting midge. This fly has a unique Davie flair, but some similar flies include Fulling Mill's Buzzer Viva, Buzzer Black Adult or Buzzer Black.

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre - with most of what you need below, but if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then ask and we'll be happy to help.
