March 2017's Open Weekend was one of the best attended to date, as the excitement builds for the forthcoming fishing season. This year's focus was all about learning and equipping anglers with all the latest tips, tricks and techniques.  Free fly casting tuition, sea rig tying demos, lure fishing demos, audio visual presentations and fly tying demos were available throughout the weekend and clearly there is still a huge appetite for growth and improvement.

A Winning Cast?
Overall, there is still a buzz about the weekend. The car parks were full and loads of happy anglers were snapping up the bargains. However, what's special about this event is the sense of community and camaradery among anglers. Like minded individuals with a love for the freedom and adventure of fishing came together to indulge their passion.

Buying a new Rod
One of the big advantages of the Open Weekend is that anglers get to see all the latest 2017 products including rods and reels from the biggest names in fishing tackle.
