Airflo Airtex Clothing Wins Tackle Tester's Choice

When navigating the minefield that is Game Clothing, it always helps when a product comes highly recommended.  For example when buying Jackets, Trousers, Bibs & Overtrousers there are so many factors to take into consideration, including breathability, insulation, water repellence, durability and of course price.  So when Trout Fisherman magazine puts it's 'Tackle Tester's Choice' stamp of approval on a product, its a good bet.

Airflo were the focal point in this month's issue, with Robbie Winram putting Airflo Airtex Clothing under the microscope.  First up was the Airflo Airtex 3/4 Jacket:
Airtex 3/4 Length
Like all the clothing in the Airtex range, it features a three-layer nylon shell which is waterproof, windproof and breathable.  It also has a loose polyester mesh lining over the main body while the sleeves are lined with a smooth polyester fabric.  Freedom of movement is also a big plus with this jacket.  Notably the hood is 'built in' and offers excellent warmth against the elements however doesn't obscure your vision.

Similarly the Airflo Airtex Wading Jacket has all the benefits of the 3/4 length jacket but with pockets pushed much higher up.  It's perfect for boat anglers or when worn with a bib & brace or waders.  Like the 3/4 length, the wading jacket sleeves are contoured and finished off with a tab and velcro fastening.

Velcro Fastening
The Airflo Airtex Bib & Brace is fashioned from tough, tear-resistant materials with reinforced black stress points.  It also features a set of adjustable, elasticated webbing braces with quick release bayonet fittings, velcro fasteners located in the chest area - which can be tightened for a custom fit - and a single water-resistant zip opening from the crotch to the top of the chest.

Bib & Brace
Robbie's verdict:
" A good set of clothing at a good price ."
"The large jackets that I had for review were a generous size without being too baggy."
"Well designed hood."

So if you are looking for a reliable, comfortable, and durable jacket or bib & brace, or both, the Airflo Airtex range with it's Trout Fisherman Tackle Tester's Choice seal of approval will give you everything you need for a great day on the water's edge.
