Tying the Doobry UV Bumble with Davie McPhail

Davie ties the Doobry UV Bumble, his variant on the classic Doobry pattern. The Doobry was developed for the peaty freshwater lochs of Orkney, but Davie's variant is equally effective fished loch style anywhere.

Materials used:
Hook: Kamasan B175 size 10s to 14s
Thread: Uni-8/0 Fire Orange then Finish with Uni-8/0 Black
Tail: Glo-Brite Floss No.4
Rib: Uni-Wire in Copper or Gold, and Holo-G Tinsel in Gold
Body: Micro Straggle Fritz Dyed Hot Orange UV Gold
Body Hackle: Indian Hen or Cock in Black
Legs: Knotted Pheasant Tail fibres Bleached and dyed Flo-Oranged
First Hackle: Orange Indian Hen
Front hackle: Dyed Black Indian Hen
