Tying the Quilled River Diawl-Bach with Davie McPhail

Davie ties the Quilled River Diawl Bach, a cracking all-round, impressionistic Trout fly, at home on any British water. Capable of giving the impression of anything from Mayfly nymphs to Sedge and Midge pupa, this fly should prove deadly anywhere you go.
Materials used:

Thread - Olive UTC 70
Hook - Kamasan B110 size 12
Tail - Dyed Yellow Brown Partridge fibres
Body - Dyed Fluo-Yellow Peacock Quill
Throat - Dyed Yellow Brown Partridge fibres
Wing Buds - Jungle Cock
Thorax - Hare's Mask Dubbing

Davies preferred type of whip finish tool can be found HERE!

All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre - if you need any help finding them or choosing substitutes we will be more than happy to help!
