S Series or T Series - Choosing a Hardy Marksman 2

The new Hardy Marksman 2 Double Handed Salmon fly rods are manufactured in two versions - the S-Series (Scandinavian style) and the T-Series (traditional style). New Gopro Underwater Dive Housing!

GoPro have announced a new underwater specific Dive Housing for its HD Hero line of action cameras. The new accessory will allow you to get the clearest possible videos and images at depths down to 60m - just like the GoPro waterproof housing that comes with the camera, but we like idea of getting sharp, focused, underwater fish release video clips!
The new accessory is a real improvement on the existing housing, offering a large, flat, glass lens, rather than the domed lens on the regular waterproof housing, and is designed to offer you the best quality results from your camera when used underwater without compromising quality above the surface. Tying the Kinermony Killer with Davie McPhail

Davie ties the Kinermony Killer, designed by Spey ghillie Jock Royan in 2006 then the inventor of the world famous Flamethrower pattern, Duncan Egan, tweaked the Kinermony Killer in his own Flamethrower style and after 2 years of highly successful trials, they decided it was time to share the pattern with a wider circle of Salmon anglers. All the colours of a traditional Salmon fly rolled into one and a guaranteed fish catcher!

Mackenzie DTX Day at Mid Clyde AA!

Scott MacKenzie will be holding a demo day at Blantyre Weir on the 27th of May 2012 for the Mid Clyde Angling Association. This is a chance for you to try the full Mackenzie DTX rod range, including the classic DTX spey rods, the shooting head models and the new DTX G2 range, as well as the matching matching MacKenzie DTX lines and shooting heads under the watchful eye of some of the country's top instructors including Andrew Toft and Ian Kirk and of course Scott himself. This event runs from 10am until 4pm and is open to everyone - members and non members - and there will be hot drinks and a hot roll available on the day for all who attend. Spotlight on Daiwa at GAC!

Hywel Morgan talks to Stevie Souter from Daiwa about some of their latest products at the GAC Open Weekend Event in March 2012, including an exciting new development in rod blank construction! The X-Torque blanks use bias cross wrapped carbon layers to increase the strength virtually eliminating blank twist and increasing torque dramatically. Not only does it increase strength but also power, casting accuracy and dramatically influences casting trajectory! Also a quick look at the new Saltist Braid rods.
