Fish of the Month May Entry!

Peter McFarland's daughters, Coral and Crystal, with dads 20lb Springer taken on Loch Lomond. The Salmon was taken in very stormy, dull and overcast weather, on a modified Black & Gold Zebra Toby with gold tinsel tied into the tail. The fish was caught opposite Tarbet bay on the East side of the loch. The rod was a 15ft Daiwa Wilderness XT and the reel was a Penn Multiplier loaded with 20lb line which was purchased at GAC and luckily he had just bought a large Salmon net the week before as there was no way this fish would fit into his usual trout net. The fish took about 20 minutes to land due to its great power and the fact that he could hardly stand due to the weather conditions.
